At Akhnaton American school , we want to assure everyone that we are doing everything in our power to ensure that our school is safe for our children. We attempt to be alert to any situation or behavior that might signal potential danger, and are prepared to act swiftly and decisively.
We ask parents and guardians to do the same. For example, teachers ask parents to talk to their children about the difference between fun and endangering others, and how easy it is to cross the line.
In addition, Akhnaton teachers ask parents to help children to understand respect for life and one another, and to teach them that alerting authorities to something that is wrong is not " tattling" but rather acceptance of responsibility for their safety and that of their friends.
